TITLE: Senior Engineering Technician

King Tech is looking to expand our client support thus, creating an immediate need for a­­­­­­­­­ Senior Engineering Technician level IV in Norfolk, VA. This position provides an opportunity for our employees work closely with our DOD customers providing LAN/WAN network support. 


  • Must have practical experience within the Information Technology field with twelve (12) or more years preferred.
  • Demonstrated current experience in Information Technology disciplines within the last 5 years of one or more of the following: software requirement, operational requirements, installation, test and evaluation, advanced system architecture, and training is higly desired
  • You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the network unfracture and tier 3 support.using Virtual Desktop platforms
  • Five plus years of experience installing Network equipmentf to include cisco and juniper routers and switches, operations, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, patch management and HBSS/EPO.
  • Responsible for setup and configuration of Active Directory, LDAP, domain controlled systems. Splunk experience a plus 
  • Performing troubleshooting and problem resolution for hardware and software issues to include device vulnerability resolution and connectivity problems.
  • Knowledge supporting  Microsoft Operating Systems Windows 7, Windows 10 SHB, Windows server 2012 R2
    Experience with LINUX Operating Systems (Red hat) a plus
  • Managing trouble tickets for user reported problems, and compiling trouble call statistics and documentation 
  • Experienced in designing and modifying engineering documents/ drawings


IAT level II Or IAT Level III
Current active DOD security clearance required upon hire

Additional Desired Certs in any of the following:

Routing/Switching/Networking for Juniper or Cisco
Windows OS or Linux Variant VMWare,
Firewalls MS SQL, Active Directory or SPLUNK a plus 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, a U.S. citizenship and Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance is required.  Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and meet verification and eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of an Associate Degree in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, and/or suitable military training school required.
